Jungle Cake: Healthy Snack for Kid

Cake is one of the most kid’s favorite snacks. Kid love Cake because of the sweet taste of the cake. This kind of snack is usually served in certain occasion like birthday party.  This jungle cake is made special for kid, thus, this Jungle cake is healthy, because this cake does not use any chemical material on producing this snack, and it is safe for the health of the kid. Ingredient:

For the cake:

  • 300 grams chocolate
  • 500 milliliters whipped cream
  • 10 eggs
  • 1, 5 tablespoon zest of lemon
  • 300 grams plain flour

For making the mousse:

  • 20 grams gelatine
  • 300 grams condensed milk
  • 300 grams chocolate
  • 500 milliliters whipped cream

For making butter cream:

  • 225 grams butter
  • A dash vanilla essence
  • 100 grams condensed milk

For the syrup:

  • 100 grams sugar
  • 250 milliliters water

For the topping

  • 150 grams coconut
  • 0,5 teaspoon green food colouring
  • 0,5 teaspoon blue food colouring

Procedure:

  1. For preparation of the base cake, mix using electrical mixer, eggs, lemon zest, sugar, and vanilla until ten minutes until the mixture are foaming. Pour the flour, slowly, using mixer and spoon slowly.
  2. Put the compound into a baking tin and roast the compound in preheated oven 180?C about a half hour or till the skewer which is inserted on the cake comes out.
  3. For preparing the mousse, put gelatine on the water and idle it aside until 5 minutes.
  4. Melt the chocolate, warm the sweetened condensed milk up. Strain the gelatine and melt the gelatine on microwave about 15 second, pour the melting gelatine to the condensed milk, mix them.

  6. For preparing the butter, mix butter, vanilla and sweetened condensed milk keep mixing until the colour becomes white.
  7. For preparation about sugar syrup, boil sugar and water, and let them be cooler. Add vanilla essence.
  8. For the finishing, Cut the cake for 3 layers, put the first layer to carton base, apply the sugar syrup over the cake, and spread chocolate mousse over the cake. Put the others layer, do the same treatment, put the cake on the fridge, rest it for 1 hour.
  9. Cover the whole cake by using cream.
  10. Using gloves pour coconut and green colouring and cover over the cake.
  11. Colouring the leftover cream with blue food colouring to create Small River, sprinkle the green coloured coconut.
  12. Put some miniature animal over the cake.
