Snail Curry – Indonesian Typical Food

The Ingredients of Snail Curry – Tanjung Pinang

  • 1/2 kg Snail
  • 1/4 kg Acid eggplant
  • Coconut milk

The spices of Snail Curry

  • 5 pieces Lado Kutu or small chilies
  • 7 pieces of red chillies
  • 1 teaspoon halio ( ginger )
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger plant
  • 3 cloves red onions
  • 1 cloves garlic
  • 1 piece citrus leaf
  • 1 turmeric leaf
  • 1 laurellike leaf
  • 2 turmeric leaves
  • salt to taste

How to make a snail curry

  1. Cut off the tail of snails in order that it will be easy to pump , then boil the snails
  2. Cut the acid eggplant in half and remove the seeds
  3. Blend all spices except the laurel-like leaves , citrus leaves and turmeric leaves
  4. Put the spices , laurel-like leaves , citrus leaves and turmeric leaves into the coconut milk and cook until boiling
  5. Put the acid eggplant and snails, then cook them until snails are cooked
  6. Do not forget to add salt to taste
  7. Serve it in hot or warm serving and the Snail Curry is ready to eat.
